Given the substantial resource consumption, waste generation, and environmental impact associated with human settlements, it is imperative to explore alternative, sustainable approaches.

This questionnaire aims to spark dialogue on:

• The potential opportunities presented by a more circular human settlement system (outlined in Part 2) for South Africa.
• The suitability of these interventions for the South African context.
• Potential barriers to adoption.
• The preparedness to implement these solutions in South Africa.
