Biography


Nobungcwele Mbem is a Project Lead at the Western Cape Economic Development Partnerships (EDP) and leads the Towns Action Network (TAN), the EDP Partnering Platform and Futurecasting projects. These projects promote partnering and collaboration through knowledge sharing of methodologies and the partnering toolkit.

The Towns Action Network (TAN) is an action-based national learning and support network that connects changemakers and fosters local partnerships across sectors to support the regeneration of South African small towns. As a Project Lead, she co-leads activities with support partners towards small town regeneration and initiating the Small Town Strategy. Support partners collaborating with the EDP on TAN include SALGA, Compact-PARI, Ranyaka, Kagiso Trust, Accountability Lab SA, Karoo Development Foundation, Restuarare and the Valley of Six Changemakers.
