COGTA vowed to investigate delays in the upgrades to the James Kleynhans Water Treatment Works as Makhanda residents were warned to brace themselves for more water cuts due to the non-completion of the much-anticipated water treatment works.

Makhanda residents have been faced with intermittent water supply due to the severe drought and mismanagement of the ageing water supply infrastructure.
