Brief Description
BIM Africa Initiative is a not-for-profit and collaborative membership-based professional organization that was formed to enable and regulate the adoption and implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operations (AECO) industry across Africa.
The growing demand for critical infrastructure to meet the needs of a rapidly rising population and boost economic growth across the African Continent has necessitated the need for a paradigm shift in the construction project delivery approach via the integration of digital and innovative technologies.
With a focus on the SDGs 9, 11, and 17; BIM Africa is aligned to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by fostering innovation in the Construction Industry through local and global partnerships towards the delivery of Smart, Resilient and Sustainable Infrastructure and Urban Development to drive the needed Economic Growth and ensure prosperity for all across Africa.
