Biography

Nomkita Fani is the Director for Intermediate Cities and Spatial Planning at the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs. She is responsible for the implementation of the Integrated Urban Development Framework (IUDF) in intermediate cities through the intermediate city support programme. Nomkita has over 14 years of experience gathered in the local government, including metropolitan, district, local municipalities, and the private sector.
