Climate-related hazards are becoming more frequent, intense and complex-from floods and droughts to fires, heatwaves and severe storms. For municipalities, the challenge is no longer simply knowing what might happen, but knowing where the risks are, who and what is most vulnerable, and what action can be taken early.

Join the National Strategic Hub for our upcoming Insight Exchange: “Disaster Management and Climate Change – From Forecast to Local Action”

The session will bring together expert perspectives from Willemien van Niekerk-CSIR, Dr Cecilia Masemola- SANSA, Dorah Kiki Pr.Sci.Nat (SACNASP, EAPASA and IAIASA Reg)- SANSA and Mark van Staden- COGTA National Disaster Management Centre to explore the data, tools and institutional capabilities needed to move from reactive response to proactive, climate-resilient local governance.
