The International Geographical Union (IGU) invites you to participate in the IGU Regional Conference (IRC 2026), which will take place from 17–21 August 2026 at Istanbul University, Türkiye.
IRC 2026 will convene geographers and researchers from around the world to engage in critical discussions on the role of geographical science in understanding the interactions between natural and human systems and in responding to global challenges. The conference will provide a platform for presenting research, exchanging knowledge, and strengthening international cooperation across the diverse fields of geography.
The scientific programme will include a wide range of sessions addressing key themes such as sustainable management of natural resources, climate change and its impacts, cultural heritage protection, and digital geography. Participants will also have opportunities to build professional networks and establish long-term collaborations.
