The University of KwaZulu-Natal e-Participation and Policy Modelling in South Africa International Research School (UEIRS) 2026 is an online research development programme hosted by the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) under the VVISDP ePPMOSA Project from 21 September to 5 October 2026 via Microsoft Teams. The event is designed for registered doctoral students, newly graduated PhDs, and emerging researchers, and is themed“Transforming the Global South: Public Innovation, E-Participation, Digital Governance, and the Pursuit of Social Justice, Decolonisation, and Equitable Development.” It aims to strengthen research skills, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, facilitate knowledge exchange, and support networking among scholars and experts. Key thematic areas include research methodology, digital governance, social justice, climate justice, sustainable development, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Participation is free of charge, and applicants must submit an expression of interest, proof of doctoral registration or completion, and a 250-word research concept note or abstract by 14 September 2026.
