Book

Africa

This book serves as the foundation for a series of books and journal articles exploring the inclusiveness of cities in the region. It forms part of the broader African City Research Center initiative, which investigates African cities from an African perspective. Driven by the belief that “the African city is a resourced city”, the work aims to reveal the social, economic, and spatial dimensions shaping these cities. While acknowledging existing literature, the book seeks to contribute empirical evidence and deeper insights. South African cities are used as the entry point for this exploration, hence the focus on Southern Africa.

This book is part of the book series: The Urban Book Series
