This media article describes the South African Local Government Association's recognition of the uMngeni Municipality's efforts and achievements in the effective use of the Municipal Infrastructure Grant (MIG). The new uMngeni mayor, Chris Pappas, has been able to allocate millions on various projects such as roads, storm water infrastructure and finishing old projects that had been poorly managed in the past. The mayor said their MIG spending for the 2022/2023 financial year was on track and that they were grateful that their work had been recognised.
