The City Forum brings together students, researchers, communities, officials and the wider public to showcase work from two engaged initiatives: The Kelvin-Alexandra-Frankenwald City Studio (CUBES, Wits University) and the Governing the Just Urban Transition project (UWC). The exhibition features staff research on spatial justice and urban transformation, student design projects, and mapping in Stjwetla using drones, 3D scanning ,and participatory methods complemented by UWC‘s photovoice research on local water and energy access. Hosted in an industrial warehouse on Frankenwald, the exhibition is set up on custom built-frames co-designed by Wits students and Stjwetlas artisans, with a café and local craft stalls and a Forum space for debates and panel discussions. The programme opens formally and unfolds through interactive sessions that engage diverse audiences.
