This article explains how municipalities are failing to supply citizens with clean water, which has forced them to take action to solve the issue on their own. Small-town residents from the Kgentlengrivier Municipality went to court to get access to the water treatment facility because it was closed during the municipal workers' strike, and their request was granted. The issue of intermittent water supply or water that has been contaminated by raw sewage is not exclusive to residents in North West; it affects many people all across the nation. Some people have turned to the courts as a short-term fix rather than taking control permanently to get the water flowing in their towns.
