The conference will bring together a diverse range of participants, including young Indigenous leaders, practitioners, and surveyors. To make the conference inclusive and truly collaborative, we will co-organize the event with youth organizations, ensuring their perspectives, priorities, and voices directly shape both the agenda and the outcomes. Each will contribute their unique insights and expertise to create a truly global and representative conversation.
To ensure that the conference is both engaging and impactful, we are considering a range of activities, including panel discussions, roundtables, elevator pitches, interactive sessions, data hackathons, as well as potential co-led training workshops on data science, storytelling, and more. Thanks to its digital format, the conference will overcome economic and geographical barriers, creating an inclusive space where youth can lead relevant conversations.
The objective is for the actionable recommendations that emerge from these discussions be presented to policymakers and negotiators at UN climate talks in Brazil (COP 30). The vision is for youth priorities to be front and center in global decisions on land and climate action.
